Group Exhibition: "Hana-bi"
Konstnärshuset, Stockholm, 2022
I participated in a group exhibition alongside artists Iris Huataniemi and Wilma Harju at Konstnärshuset, Stockholm, in 2022. Curated by Ashik Zaman, the exhibition had the title "Hana-bi," derived from the Japanese word for fireworks, which combines the word for "fire" and "flower." Using fireworks as a metaphor, we used the theme as a starting point for bigger existential questions.
My contributions to the exhibition included three works. A sculptural plexi installation ’Chasing My Tail’. Matches boxes in plexi glass ’Comets’. And a projected animated video installation (22 second loop), ’Playing Lovesongs on My Doomsday Trumpet’.
